Slain journalist, Jamal Khashoggi’s body parts reportedly found in Saudi Consul-General’s garden

Fresh reports indicate that body parts belonging to slain Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, have been found.

According to reports, the 59-year-old Washington Post columnist had been “cut up” and his face was “disfigured".  New York Post reports that an unstated source told Sky News that Khashoggi’s remains were found in the garden of the Saudi consul general’s home.

This development comes shortly after Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accused Saudi Arabia of plotting Khashoggi’s murder and called on Riyadh to extradite the already identified 18 suspects.

Photos: Boko Haram kill one, displace 1,300 in Borno fresh attacks

The National Emergency Management Agency yesterday confirmed that the Saturday’s attacks by Boko Haram on villages in Borno State left one person dead and 1,300 others displaced.
The attackers targeted farmers in the three villages invaded.
“Dala-Malari, Fuguri and Femari all communities in Jere LGA were attacked by suspected Boko Haram insurgents yesterday (Saturday). One person was killed and about 1,300 people are displaced,” Bashir Garga, NEMA North East Zonal Coordinator, said in a statement yesterday.



He urged residents to be vigilant and report suspicious movements and persons to security agents,” saying, “Attacks on soft targets have become the hallmark of the insurgents due to increased military clampdown that has curtailed their activities. Humanitarian partners are being mobilized to cater for the victims as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, the General Officer Commanding, 7-Division Maiduguri, Brigadier-General Abdumalik Biu, has charged his troops under the Operation Lafiya Dole to remain committed and decisive in their duties towards ending insurgency in the northeast.
General Biu gave the charge on Friday while addressing troops of of the 7-Division Rapid Deployment Force of Sector-1 undergoing training at a military facility in Monguno town.

Nigerian father reports Yahoo-Yahoo son to EFCC after he bought a house and a shop valued over N2 Million

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Kaduna Zonal office has investigated a case of conspiracy and theft reported to the Commission by an exceptional father.

The father (name witheld) in April 2017 became a whistleblower after his son (then a secondary school student) told him that he had bought a house and a shop valued over N2 Million (Two Million Naira) only.

The information of the purchase shocked the father beyond his imagination as such he decided to make a formal complain to the Commission having perceived signs of fraud from his son's explanantion of how he got the money.

His son, Adamu, said he got the money through his phone line which after purchase he began receiving alerts running into millions of Naira.

Investigations into the matter began immediately and all parties involved were invited accordingly and their statements were taken as the principal accused person mentioned two other accomplicies in the crime.

In the course of investigations, it was discovered that Adamu withdrew monies in bits from a First Bank account number 3033389599 owned by one Porong Daniel Nash (a farmer in plateau state); and credited same to different accounts.

Consequently, all accused persons where arrested and recoveries were made to the tune of N939,000 (Nine Hundred and Thirty Nine Thousand Naira) only of which same was returned to the rightful owner by the Zonal Office.

A 60-year-old woman gave birth to her first child after being married for 36 years.

Mr & Mrs Bose Joda had their bundle of joy after waiting for over three decades and they named the child Ore Ofe Oluwatodimu Joda.

Ghanian man storm bank with his mattress and pillow to protest (video)

A Ghanaian man arrived a bank in Ghana with his mattress and a pillow to protest over his inability to withdraw money.

The man arrived the UniCredit bank in Apenkwa, Accra, yesterday, and laid out his mattress and pillow at a spot inside the banking hall with the intention of staying there till his issue is resolved.

The dissatisfied customer had reportedly been trying to withdraw money for a while but kept being told that the server is down.

Months ago, Sonia revealed in an emotional post that they were having issues in their marriage, but took extra miles to save their union.
